    Fried Cabbage 1 Cabbage Smoked Meat (turkey, bacon, jowl, hock) desired amount ¼ cup Green/Red/Yellow Bell Peppers/Jalapenos as desired 3 Tablespoons Butter 2 Tablespoons of oil (to brown smoked meat in) ¼ Cup Onions Salt/Pepper/Garlic to taste 1 Tsp. Sugar (Optional) 2 Tablespoons Water

During this pandemic quarantine time of 20/20 where we are sanitizing everything, health care professionals have declared if you don't have commercial veggie wash use a drop of dish-washing liquid in water and rinse well. Make your own decision about how you want to clean your cabbage but there is nothing wrong or dangerous about how it is done here. Veggie wash is relatively new to the scene. This is how we did it back in the day. Fried Cabbage 1 Cabbage Smoked Meat (turkey, bacon, jowl, hock) desired amount ¼ cup Green/Red/Yellow Bell Peppers/Jalapenos as desired 3 Tablespoons Butter 2 Tablespoons of oil (to brown smoked meat in) ¼ Cup Onions Salt/Pepper/Garlic to taste 1 Tspn. Sugar (Optional) 2 Tablespoons Water Fry cooking meat of your choice, onions and peppers in oil and butter starting with the meat add onions and peppers when meat is browned. Then add cabbage to hot pot and stir to cover all cabbage pieces with oil, meat, pepper and onion mixture. Cover and cook for about 12 minutes.
